Research & Publications: Dr Michael is actively involved in research, has presented at international conferences, and published multiple research articles. He coordinates current research through junior doctors and has been a supervisor previously for post graduate students at Melbourne University.
Teaching and presentations: With his background in post graduate education studies, Dr Michael has been an invited lecturer presenting to medical students, doctors in training to be specialists, nursing and allied health staff. This affords him the opportunity to share the experience and knowledge he has gained through decades of practice in his specialty. He continues his teaching activities through both the public hospital environments of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear and Western Health Hospital networks and the private setting of Cabrini Health.
Philosophy of Care: Dr Michael feels that education and research are key foundations that enhance medicine and help maintain and improve clinical skills. He believes in thoroughly educating patients about their conditions and involving them in treatment decisions.
